Our Team

  • Dr. J
    Dr. Jennifer Jackson DVM

    Doctor Jennifer Jackson is the owner and senior veterinarian of Pinion Veterinary Hospital. She is originally from Oregon and graduated from Oregon State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Prior to veterinary school, she was a licensed veterinary technician and, therefore, is uniquely qualified to mentor hospital staff and pet owners through many aspects of veterinary care and pet health.

    Doctor Jackson started at the Nevada Humane Society after graduating from veterinary school. She has vast experience in anesthesia and surgery, having participated in high-volume and high-quality spay and neuter clinics at the Humane Society. She started working at Pinion in June 2013 and purchased the practice in January 2023.

    Doctor Jackson also has a special interest in exotic pets, including birds, reptiles, and small mammals. On the rare occasion when she is out of the office, she enjoys spending time with her children, hiking, gardening, cooking, reading, and taking road trips.

    Dr. Tiffani Thomas DVM

    Dr. Tiffani Thomas was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She started her career in the veterinary field as a high school volunteer for the Loiusiana SPCA.  After receiving her Bachelors degree in Biology from Xavier University, she was hired on a a veterinary assistant for the LA SPCA where she worked until her acceptance into veterinary school.  She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 after completing her clinical year at Louisiana State University.  Her interest include dentistry, nutrition, dermatology, and animal welfare.  We are very excited to have her as part of our team. She  works with us part time now, as  her family has grown larger  with 2 beautiful daughters, so she fills in   to help Dr Jackson have a  extra day off every now and then.

    Dr. Kaitlyn Adymy DVM

    Dr. Kaitlyn Adymy was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. During her undergraduate schooling at University of Nevada, Reno, she worked for Pinion as a veterinary assistant for several years before graduating with her B.S. in Veterinary Science and a minor in Music. She then moved to Oregon to attend vet school at Oregon State University. After she graduated with her DVM degree, she moved back to Reno and has returned to Pinion. She is currently working under supervision of Dr. Jackson while she studies for her board exam. She currently lives with her fiancée, her two cats Rango and Flynn, and her corn snake Oliver. Her and her fiancée both share a love of board games and have a collection of over 200 board games!

    Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Breanna is a Virginia City native. She has been with us since 2013. As a licensed veterinary technician, Breanna brings care and skills in surgical, dental, and emergency anesthesia. Additionally, she can be found performing in-house laboratory work and procedures, x-rays, and checking in rooms. With genuine kindness and proven knowledge, she strives to provide our clients with the best possible patient care each and every time. She also holds an associate's degree in business. When she is not at work, she loves listening to music, going to concerts, shooting and editing photography, reading books, visiting local coffee shops, and going on adventures with her standard poodle named Emma.

    Ku'uipo
    Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Her name is Ku'uipo, but around the hospital, she is commonly known as 'Ku'. She was born and raised on the island of Oahu in Hawaii and came to Reno for her undergraduate studies. She is now a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno with a bachelor's in veterinary science and biology. Ku is currently a licensed veterinary technician.  She aspires to become a licensed veterinarian and return to Pinion to take care of your pets and see where the future takes her. When Ku is not working, she loves to spend time with her fur babies Shadow, Chief, and Admiral, play basketball, create music and art, volunteer at Reno Riding Rescue, and so much more.

    Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Christine is from Corvallis, Oregon, but has lived in Northern Nevada for a long time. She is a veterinary technician with multiple years of experience from general practice with an interest in emergency medicine. She’s grown up with an assortment of pets, including the traditional cats and dogs, but has had birds, rats, and lizards. She is currently in engineering school and will be graduating in a couple of years.

    Vet Tech in Training (LVTIT)

    Kaylee was born in California moving to Reno as a kid.  Growing up in a house full of animals has sparked in her that she has wanted to pursue and animal in healthcare.  She is a licensed veterinary technician in training working toward becoming an LVT.  She is currently attending UNR majoring in veterinary science and hopes to attend vet school in the future.

    Alexey has always loved animals since she was a kid. She's happy to have found a position she loves and be a part of an amazing team.

  • Amanda
    Amanda
    Veterinary Assistant

    Amanda was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, but she has made Reno and Tahoe area home since 2001. She has attended the University of Kentucky, UNLV, and is currently in school to further her education. Amanda has a true passion for animals and their owners and has worked with animals most of her life. She was very close with our clinic cat, Sebastian and also enjoys pet sitting in her free time.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Working in Veterinary medicine is Zach's passion. He has worked in the field for over 3 years now. He  would not change it for the world. Working with an amazing team from Dr.s, Techs, Assistants to the front office staff makes helping all the animals worth it, and being a part of that means the world to him. Zach hopes to continue to grow and play a bigger part in this field for the future. When He is not at work he spends time playing with his fur baby Miranda and spend time with friends playing tablet top games.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Ava was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. She has loved animals all her life and began working here in August 2025 while she was a senior in high school. She plans to attend the University of Nevada, Reno, where she will pursue a degree in veterinary science with a minor in agriculture. Ava’s long-term goals include graduating from UNR, attending veterinary school, and becoming a large-animal veterinarian. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, art, and skiing.

    Reception

    Lilly is a Nevada native. She started with us in February 2018. She moved from the call service field as a resolution supervisor to the vet field 10 years ago. When she is not working the front desk, she enjoys fishing, camping, her horses, and her Bulldog!

    Reception

    Caitlin is our self-proclaimed “bird nerd” She has a background in bird training and zookeeping. She and her husband, Brad, have recently (2020) moved to the area with a small “zoo” of their own, including 1 dog, 3 cats, a ball python, and a green-winged macaw. The whole family is loving Reno and the fresher air!

    Reception

    Marion has had a deep passion for animals all her life. After high school she was accepted into UC Davis to start her dream of being a veterinarian, but she had to choose between 2 paths and chose being a mother. She never lost her love for animals and helping them whenever she could. In 2010 she married her high school sweetheart and they live happily with a Doberman named Charlie, a Pitt Bull mix named Axul and Black Bombay cat named Salem. She has a special place in her heart for Great Danes and Ragdoll kitties (and Bombay’s now). Marion won't ever be a Vet but she is closer than she has ever been to the life she once dreamed of and couldn't be happier to be at Pinion Veterinary hospital where she is excited every day that she gets to work with the animals and their owners with the family atmosphere that goes with it.

    Shannon has been a part of Pinion Staff since 2007. Her love for animals keeps bringing her back here. She has worked with large animals to small. She has done it all here from clean up the yard, help with recovery after surgeries, answering phones and now filling in where ever she is needed. Pinion is her second home thanks to the people that work here and our wonderful Clients and fur babies.
