Dr. D. DVM

Dr. William Davenport opened Pinion Veterinary Hospital over 30 years ago. A graduate from Kansas State University, he chose Reno as his home and has been sharing his skills in diagnostics and surgery since he arrived. His passion and caring for your canine and feline family members is the foundation for the philosophy of high quality care and respect shared by all our staff members.


Dr. J. DVM

Doctor Jennifer Jackson is the next senior member of our staff at Pinion Animal Hospital.  Originally from Oregon, she has had the distinction of being licensed as both a veterinary technician and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. This makes her uniquely qualified to mentor hospital staff and pet owners alike over a broader range of issues involving veterinary care and pet health.

Doctor Jackson has a vast experience in anesthesia and surgery, which greatly enhances our hospital's capabilities. She also has a special interest in exotic species and pocket pets and welcomes questions and visits from these special creatures.

She brings a vast range of pets with her, along with her husband and two children.


Dr. T. DVM

Dr. Tiffani Thomas was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She started her career in the veterinary field as a high school volunteer for the Loiusiana SPCA.  After receiving her Bachelors degree in Biology from Xavier University, she was hired on a a veterinary assistant for the LA SPCA where she worked until her acceptance into veterinary school.  She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 after completing her clinical year at Louisiana State University.  Her interest include dentistry, nutrition, dermatology, and animal welfare.  We are very excited to have her as part of our team. She has already developed a following  Dr. Davenport's  trust in her skill and caring attitude has allowed him to take a day or two off and he can now play volleyball a little bit longer during lunch


Alexey

Veterinary Assistant

Alexey has always loved animals since she was a kid. She's happy to have found a position she loves and be a part of an amazing team.


Amanda

Veterinary Assistant

Amanda was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, but she has been in Reno since 2001. She has attended the University of Kentucky and UNLV and plans to return one day. Amanda has a true passion for animals and their owners and has worked with animals most of her life. Amanda has a special bond with our clinic cat, Sebastian and takes him home on the weekends for slumber parties!


Breanna

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Breanna is a Virginia City native. She has been with us since 2013. As a licensed veterinary technician, Breanna brings care and skills in surgical, dental, and emergency anesthesia. Additionally, she can be found performing in-house laboratory work and procedures, x-rays, and checking in rooms. With genuine kindness and proven knowledge, she strives to provide our clients with the best possible patient care each and every time. She also holds an associates degree in business. When she is not working you can find her on the yoga mat, behind the camera lens, crocheting, and will soon be learning how to make dog bow ties!!! 


Caitlin

Reception

Caitlin is our self-proclaimed "bird nerd". She has a background in bird training and zookeeping. She and her husband, Brad, have recently moved to the area with a small "zoo" of their own, including 3 dogs, 2 cats, a ball python, and a green-winged macaw. The whole family is loving Reno and the fresher air! 


Kayla

Veterinary Assistant

Kayla is originally from Northern Missouri where she used to own 3 horses until she moved to Nevada. She is currently finishing up her undergrad for her bachelor’s in veterinary science, and from there she plans on going into a vet tech program in Missouri. She currently owns a dog and a cat named Monty and Viva, respectfully.


Ku'uipo lani o ho'omaluhia

Licensed Veterinary Technician in Training

Her name is Ku'uipo, but around the hospital, she is commonly known as 'Ku'. She was born and raised on the island of Oahu in Hawaii and came to Reno for her undergraduate studies. She is now a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno with a bachelor's in veterinary science and biology. Ku is currently a veterinary technician in training, but she is working on getting her full veterinary technician license. After she achieves that stepping stone, she aspires to become a licensed veterinarian and return to Pinion to take care of your pets and see where the future takes her. When Ku is not working, she loves to spend time with her fur babies Shadow, Chief, and Admiral, play basketball, create music and art, volunteer at Reno Riding Rescue, and so much more.


Lilly

Reception

Lilly is a Nevada native. She started with us in  February 2018. She moved from the call service field as a resolution supervisor to the vet field 10 years ago. When she is not working the front desk she enjoys fishing, camping, and her horses.


Lisa

Veterinary Assistant

Lisa was born and raised here in Reno and has been an animal lover her whole life. Lisa has superhero kitty powers, so she is known as the cat whisperer here at the hospital. She has been working in animal care for the last 10 years where the last 8 years she was the cat lead at the Humane Society. She recently decided to go into veterinary care and we are grateful she did!


Mariah

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Mariah an Oregon native, has lived in Reno since 1995. She lives with her husband Tylar, kids, Colson and Alice, and two dogs Roxie and Gracie. Mariah has been with us since 2011. She has worked with animals for over 10 years. Between studying hard for her licensing, working, and raising children, you would think she would run out of energy. Never!! She is giving 100% of her focus and time to the pets.  Always a grin and a laugh before she heads off in another direction. Her drive to learn new things that can help animals is a delight to watch and she will be an asset to our hospital for years. Occasionally gets a day off and loves to be outdoors.  


Marion .

Marion – Reception

Marion has had a deep passion for animals all her life. After high school she was accepted into UC Davis to start her dream but she had to choose between 2 paths and chose being a mother. She never lost her love for animals and helping them whenever she could. In 2010 she married her high school sweetheart and they live happily with a great Dane, a Doberman, a Miniature Schnauzer, a pit bull and a blonde lab mix that is lovingly called, " na na".She has a special place in her heart for Great Danes and Ragdoll kitties. Marion won't ever be a Vet but she is closer than she has ever been to the life she once dreamed of and couldn't be happier to be at Pinion veterinary hospital where she  is excited every day that she gets to work with the animals and their owners. 


The Rest of Us
